Live BACnet data, without opening a single port

Veil's Connectors app pulls live readings from a real BACnet building automation system — no inbound firewall changes, ever.

Most building analytics tools ask you to open a hole in your network to get data out. Veil's Connectors app does the opposite: a small agent runs on a machine that's already on your building's network, next to the BACnet device, and pushes readings out to Veil over an ordinary outbound connection — the same direction your web browser talks to any website. Veil never connects in.

Point it at a device, get a ready-to-run command

Connecting a real device — most commonly a supervisor like a Tridium Niagara JACE that already aggregates everything under it — takes a handful of fields: the device's IP address, its BACnet device instance number, and which building it belongs to. Create the connection, and Veil hands back a single command with your credentials already filled in. The computer next to the device just needs Docker installed — nothing else to download, no compose file, no separate configuration step.

Discover the points instead of typing them by hand

You don't need to know a device's exact object types and instance numbers ahead of time. Once the agent is running, Veil automatically reads back everything the device says it has — object type, instance, and its real name — so you can browse and bind the ones you want, organized into a real equipment hierarchy rather than left flat under the site.

Resilient by design

If the device goes offline or the network hiccups, the agent keeps retrying and buffers readings locally rather than losing data — a brief outage doesn't mean a gap in your history once things reconnect.
